This year’s Elementary Christmas Concert is today, December 3rd from 3:30-4:30 and the school buses will leave at 4:45pm. (Please remember to let the office know if your child will not be riding the bus after the concert).

On December 3rd, please remember to pack concert clothing for your children to change into just before the concert begins.

Christmas Concert Dress Code: Please wear Red, Green, Black or White. Students should avoid wearing jeans, t-shirts, hoodies, or sneakers.

今年小學部的聖誕音樂會時間為今天，十二月3日，下午 3:30-4:30，校車將於4:45離開學校。（如果您的孩子在音樂會後不搭校車回家，請務必通知辦公室）。

音樂會當天，請記得為您的孩子備妥聖誕服裝，以便在音樂會開始前更換 。

音樂會服裝：請穿紅、綠、黑或白色 。請提醒您的孩子勿穿著以下服裝：牛仔褲、T恤、連帽 T、或球鞋。

Students that ordered pictures from picture day need to turn in their money to their classroom teachers in an envelope with their name, grade, and money amount written on it. Money is due Friday, December 11. 

有訂購年鑑大頭照的學生請在 12/11（五）之前把錢放至信封內。請於信封上標示姓名，年級，和金額，然後繳交給班級導師。

2020 Turkey Trot / 火雞路跑 – 5K Run/Walk

Join the MAK Cross Country team as they host their annual Turkey Trot this Friday, December 4. It’s a 5 kilometer run/walk around the MAK community with the chance to race and catch a turkey (or more likely someone dressed up as a turkey). This race is open to all Middle School students and up (including parents!) We will meet after school on the track at 3:25pm for some light stretching.  The race time will start promptly at 3:45pm.  Email Coach Chan (chanm@ma.org.tw) if you have any questions.  Hope to see you there!  

MAK的越野賽團隊將在12月4日星期五舉辦年度的五公里火雞路跑！我們歡迎所有家長和中學以上的學生來參加！參加者將會賽跑抓火雞（會有一個人裝扮成火雞）。我們將於下午3:25在學校跑道上集合拉拉筋，然後3:45準時開始。如有任何問題，請電郵陳教練(chanm@ma.org.tw)。期待見到你們！

Perhaps many of you have seen the vegetable and fruit stall set up between the school and staff housing and have wondered to yourself, What’s going on? Why would someone be selling produce here of all places? Well, the answer is that it’s there for YOU!
The Stephenson family, a long time Morrison family, have a farm just behind the school where they plant a variety of organic produce and raise free-range eggs. They also source products from local farmers and markets in search for the highest quality produce to bring to Morrison families. Feel free to stop by after school every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday to enjoy conversation with Uncle John and browse his amazing selection of fresh farm produce!

最近有注意到學校門口附近擺設賣菜的攤位嗎？有沒有人想過「誰在這裡擺攤賣菜啊？」其實，他們在這擺攤的目的，就是為了等你大駕光臨！
Stephenson一家是馬禮遜的老校友與家長，他們在學校後面的一塊農地種了各式各樣的農作物，養放山雞和生產無毒雞蛋。他們也和當地的農民及市場合作，為大家精挑細選新鮮又高品質的蔬果。每個星期一、三和四，歡迎來Uncle John的攤位和他們聊聊天，逛逛他細心挑選和栽種的美味農產品！

ASA NEWS! ASA 消息!

Please be advised that the last day of ASA will end on Thursday, December 17. Below is the information about our ASA program for the second semester. 

1. The Elementary core teachers will send the ASA descriptions and sign-up forms by email at 8:00am on Tuesday, January 5.
2. The sign-up forms will be open for registration from Tuesday, January 5 to Thursday, January 7, inclusive.
3. The ASA program will begin on Tuesday, January 12, 2021.

這學期的ASA將於十二月17日（四）結束。以下是第二學期ASA的資訊：

1. 報名表單和簡章將於一月5日（二）早上八點由班導師統一電郵至您的信箱。
2. 報名表單開放日期為一月5日（二）至一月7日（四）。
3. 各課程將於一月12日（二）開始上課。

HS Christmas Cantata Concert
This year’s HS Christmas concert (Thursday, December 10 from 3:30pm to 4:15pm) is a Christmas Cantata titled “Hope,” a musical narrative of the Christmas story and the coming of hope through Jesus. This performance will combine HS strings, HS band, HS choir, MS choir, as well as several members of MS and HS drama.

On Wednesday, December 9th, we will hold a mandatory dress rehearsal for all performing students from 3:30pm to 5:15pm. 

Christmas Cantata dress code: Please wear formal concert attire in Black or White. For Choir, please wear a white top with black bottoms. Students should avoid wearing jeans, T-shirts, hoodies, or sneakers. 

聖誕清唱劇

今年高中部的聖誕音樂會將於十二月10號(四)，下午3:30-4:15舉行。今年將演出一齣名為“希望”的聖誕清唱劇，透過旁白以及歌曲將聖誕節的故事以及藉由耶穌誕生所帶來的希望宣揚出來！高中弦樂團、高中管樂團、高中合唱團、中學合唱團，還有一些中學及高中戲劇課學生將會共同演出。
我們將於十二月9號(三)下午3:30到5:15舉行演出前的總彩排，請參與演出的所有學生務必出席此次總彩排。
音樂會服裝：黑色或白色正式服裝。合唱團學生，請著白色正式上衣以及黑色長裙或長褲。請勿穿著牛仔褲、T恤、連帽T、或球鞋。

High School Final Exams 高中期末考

High School final exams are coming up December 15-17! Exam schedules will be made available soon. Please note that Monday, December 14 will be a Study Day for High School. There will be no exams and students can opt to stay home and study or come to school where they can study individually or in groups or meet with teachers as needed. As parents, you can decide where your child will study on Monday, December 14.  

Here are some instructions students will be given regarding Finals Week.

1. If you are on campus, you must be in a designated study hall location or in an exam.
2. You are not required to be at school except for exams, so if your parents want to bring you late/pick you up early, that is fine. (But you cannot leave in the middle of the day and return.) 
3. You may NOT leave campus without your parents picking you up unless you are taking the normal bus after school.
4. The new cell phone free campus policy will still be in full effect throughout Finals Week.
5. While there will be no games scheduled during Finals Week, regular sports practices will continue at the discretion of team coaches.

高中期末考試將於12月15日至17日舉行！考試時間表即將公佈。 請注意，12月14日星期一是高中的學習日。12/14當天沒有考試，學生可以選擇留在家裡或是來學校讀書。若學生選擇來學校，他們可以自行複習，跟同學一起複習，或者根據學習的需要和老師見面。 父母可以決定您是否要讓您的孩子在12月14日星期一來學校複習。

以下是我們於考試週給高中生的規範：

1. 如果你選擇來學校，你必須在指定的地點自修。
2. 除了考試時間以外，你不一定要在學校。如果你的父母可以配合你的時間接送，晚送早回都可以，但是請勿到校後離開又返回，重覆進出校園。
3. 除了搭校車的學生，若你的父母無法接送，請勿自行離校。
4. 新的無手機校園政策在整個考試週期間仍然全面實行。
5. 考試週不會有任何的體育比賽，但放學後的練習仍照常舉行。
