MAK’s Varsity Boys Volleyball team took the court against the Dragons of KAS on Monday afternoon. The season is young and the Sharks continue to grow in confidence and experience. They fought through some tough stretches but ultimately lost 1-3 to an athletic KAS side. Keep grinding, Sharks!
Soccer is sometimes referred to as ‘the beautiful game’ and when you have a scoreless draw that is still a pleasure to watch you can understand why! On Monday, the Varsity Girls took on the KAS Dragons. While the game ended 0-0, it was a great experience for the girls with some spirited play on both sides. Goalkeeper Shannon Lee was a beast in goal with 10 saves, including some amazing reaction saves. Way to go, Sharks!
The Varsity Boys traveled to Taichung to take on ICA. In a long game played outside that extended past sunset, your Sharks fought to the bitter end before conceding defeat in 5 sets to Ivy. Way to fight, Sharks!
On Thursday afternoon, your MAK Sharks traveled up north to take on ICA on their home pitch. MAK quickly took control of the match with several early goals. It was a great win for the Sharks who finished with a 10-0 victory! Every player was able to get a lot of playing time and experience. Sophie Tsai had 4 goals, Ellie Chen and Phoebe Liou 2 goals each, and Audrey Hsu and Riley Newkirk also each had a goal. Well done Sharks!!
MAK’s JV Boys Volleyball team traveled north to ICA to face off against their first away opponent. As this was a friendly match, the two teams played three full sets to 25 rather than stopping at 15 in the third set. Our boys fought hard but fell 1-2 (19-25, 29-27, 22-25). Great work, Sharks!
