Dear MAK Parents and Guardians,
The Annual Fund is an exciting time when we can come together as a community to enhance our students’ learning experience and environment. By working together, the Annual Fund is an opportunity for our community to give generously and take ownership of the school facilities.
Our goal for this year’s Annual Fund is to raise 1,000,000 NT with a 100% participation rate from Monday, February 6th through Friday, April 28th, 2023. We hope everyone can maximize this opportunity to “MAKe a Difference” for our school. The Annual Fund will renovate and update the Covered Play Area (CPA).
In renovating the CPA, the goal will be to make the space more usable and functional by adding the following:
- New acrylic athletic surface for P.E., ASA, MS/HS athletics (i.e., significantly less dust)
- Storage for P.E. Equipment
- Audio and visual improvements for chapel and staff orientations
- “And More”
Please pray and consider how you would like to contribute to this year’s Annual Fund. We appreciate all and any contributions made by our community. If you have any questions about giving to the Annual Fund, please contact the school’s cashier, Ms. Connie Chang.
Thank you for your generous support – Let’s Go, Sharks!
Sincerely,
Dr. Kim
Sharks!
Sincerely,
Dr. Kim
Hello Parents,
I wanted to give you some information about this upcoming Olympic Day event happening on our campus TOMORROW Friday, February 10th. As a school, we value providing a well-rounded education for your students. We strive to use athletics and sports to build character and teamwork as well as encourage a healthy balanced lifestyle. Olympic Day is one venue in which we can take some time to do this. This event is open to Morrison family and friends. Parents are encouraged to come cheer for their kids!
This is an event that involves many staff and students. The participating athletes are K-8th grade, and each student is assigned to a multigrade team (Country). Students will be competing in various track and field events they have been practicing in their PE classes against other MAK students of their grade and gender. This is meant to be a fun day filled with healthy competition.
It is a full day, so here are a few suggestions of what to have your child bring:
- Water bottle
- Athletic clothing (Shoes, shorts, shirts)
- Sun Screen
- Hat (optional)
- Money for snacks and drinks other than water.
Parents/Spectators planning to attend:
- Cannot show or experience any symptoms of an illness.
- Please park outside of the campus on Jiacheng Road.
- Will receive a visitor’s sticker at the front gate before entering campus.
- Will stay on the Athletic Fields and MPR, but not EMS or HS hallways (HS Classes will still be in session)
Lunches will be provided for those on the school plan. Lunch and snacks will also be sold on campus by High school students. Please keep food in the MPR and Outdoor Courtyard.
Attendance will be taken as usual in the morning. The school will end as normal at 3:15 with buses departing at 3:25pm. If your child normally takes the bus home and you plan on driving your child home instead, please inform the front office.
Here is the Schedule for Olympic Day
Blessings,
Paul Liao /
