Dear Parents and Guardians,  

The safety of the students is the most important goal during drop-off and pick-up.  We all have the responsibility to see that every child is safe.  For this reason, I want to give a friendly reminder to please take extra care and safety as you drop off and pick up your children at school.  When driving in the school zone area, please be mindful of other cars, scooters, and buses.  Ensure that you follow all traffic laws by slowing down, driving the speed limit, and staying off your cell phones.  

When driving into the school driveway during drop off, please do the following: 

1. Slow down and drive extra cautiously.
2. Stop and yield to pedestrians crossing the crosswalk.
3. Be mindful of school buses and other cars.
4. Please be patient.  You are training your child(ren) on how to follow rules and laws by the example you set.

安全是我們在接送孩子時最需重視的一環。 確保每位孩子的安全，是我們的責任。 出於此原因，我想提醒大家，請您在學校接送孩子時，務必要格外小心安全。當接近學校區域時，請您遵守所有交通法規：請注意其他車輛、機車和公車。通過時減速、勿超速及勿使用手機。

在送孩子到校，車輛進入學校車道時，請遵行以下規則：

1. 減速並格外小心駕駛。
2. 停車並禮讓行人通過。
3. 注意校車和其他車輛。
4. 請耐心等待。 您正透過以身作則來培訓您的孩子如何遵守規則和法律。

If your child needs to take medicine during school, please give it to the office staff or school nurse. Do not let your child take the medicine by himself without supervision. We sincerely recommend that you try to let your children take medicine at home, and only let them bring medicine to school when necessary. If your child needs to take medicine, please send the following information and the Morrison Medication Administration From to the office staff or school nurse. We will give the child medicine according to the doctor’s order. Please also attach the doctor’s prescription and the medicine. Put it in the medicine bag and clearly indicate the child’s name (grade), the dose of medicine and the time of taking the medicine.

若您孩子需要在學校期間服藥，請務必交給辦公室人員或學校護士，而不要讓孩子在沒有人監督之下自行服用藥物。我們忠心建議您盡量讓孩子在家服藥，有必要時才讓孩子帶藥來學校。如果您的孩子需要服用藥物， 請將以下資料和學生在校服用藥物表單交給辦公室人員或學校護士，我們將會依照醫師的醫囑給予孩子服用藥物 ，也請附上醫師處方箋以及把藥品放入藥袋內並且藥袋上有清楚地標示孩子的姓名(年級)，藥物劑量及服藥時間。

The annual Fall Art Competition is back! This year’s theme is “Connections”, which was inspired by our school theme this year: The Morrison Family. The Exhibition will be on Oct. 25, the day of the Parent Teacher Conference, parents are welcome to come and take pictures of your kids’ work!  All mediums are welcomed to be used. Please submit your artwork to Mrs. Newkirk, Hope Yang(12), Emily Wong(11), or Daisy Chuang(10) by Sep. 26 (Monday).  If there are any concerns, please contact MAK HS Art Club at makartclub@mca.org.tw.
