First Quarter is ending this week.  Next week, report cards will be available before Friday.  You can access your child’s report card electronically. Elementary School MasteryConnect reports will be delivered to you via email.  PowerSchool reports for all grades can be found in PowerSchool. Follow the steps below to access the report card. 

 

• Log into PowerSchool.  You must log into PowerSchool through a web browser, either on your phone, tablet, laptop, or desktop.  You will NOT find the Report cards in the PowerSchool App.
• On the left-hand side of your screen, you should see an icon labeled Report Card. If you don’t see the icon, look for a small gray arrow near the top left of your screen.  Click on this arrow to reveal many options, including the Report Card icon.
• Click on this icon, if the report is ready, it will appear.  
• If you can not remember your login or password, follow the instructions on the login page to retrieve the information.

We will send an email out next week when the reports are ready.  

Please contact the office if you would like to request a printed copy of the report card.

Parent-Teacher-Student Conferences 親師生座談會

Parent-Teacher-Student Conferences will be held on Friday, October 25, 2019. Sign up will be available tomorrow (Friday) afternoon.

As usual, all 6-12 grade students are required to come to Parent-Teacher-Student Conferences. We value Middle School and High School students’ input and believe they are an important part of the conversation. 

Please be reminded that K-5 students need to stay home unless your child’s classroom teacher has asked you to bring your son or daughter to the conference.

我們將在10月25日(五)舉行「親師生座談會」。 明天(10/18，五)下午將開放登記。

照慣例，六到十二年級的學生必須參加此座談會。我們高度重視我們國高中生的參與，並且深信他們是此座談會中重要的一員。

請注意，小學部的所有學生請留在家中，毋需到校，除非班級老師邀請您帶著孩子來參加此座談會。

The elementary student council is excited to announce the launch of our book drive. Our friends and visitors from Zambia, Bruce and Mercy, work for a school called Elijah’s Raven. They are working towards opening a library and we want to support them in any way we can. We will be collecting any new or used (English only, all level) books from October 14-October 28. The books will be sent with Ms. Chandel and the missions team to Zambia over winter break. 

The books can be sent to school with your child, there will be bins in the elementary hallway for them to place them in. Please feel free to contact Ms. Ro (roc@ma.org.tw) or Ms. Chandel (blockc@ma.org.tw) with any questions.

小學部學生會很興奮地宣布我們的捐書活動開跑了！我們來自贊比亞的朋友和訪客，Bruce和Mercy為一所名為Elijah’s Raven的學校工作，而他們正致力於設立一間圖書館，我們希望可以竭盡所能地來支持他們。我們將會從10月14日到10月28日募集任何新書或舊書(僅限英語，所有程度)。校牧Ms. Chandel和宣教小組將會在寒假時一起把這些書送到贊比亞。

您可以讓您的孩子把要捐贈的書籍一起帶到學校，小學教室的走廊裡將擺放一些讓大家可以放置捐書的箱子。

The MAK HS Art Club is hosting the annual Fall Art Exhibition! This year’s theme is “GRATITUDE”. The Exhibition will start on October 25 during Parent-Teacher Conferences and will be displayed in the MPR and the gym. After October 25, they will be moved to the Library where they will be exhibited for one month. 

馬禮遜高中美術社要在10/25，星期五 (親師生座談會)舉行秋季藝術展！今年的主題是「感恩的心」。將會在學校的MPR和體育館擺放學生們的參展作品。在10/25過後，參展作品將會被移至圖書館中繼續供大家欣賞。此展覽為期一個月。

Dear Parents,  親愛的家長們，平安！

We have been notified that a few of our students have been diagnosed with Influenza Type A. If your child has body aches, fever, cough and/or runny nose, please keep them home to rest and drink plenty of fluids. They may return to school when they are fever-free (without the use of medicine) and without body aches.
我們已經收到通知，我們有一些學生被診斷出患有A型流感。如果您的孩子有身體疼痛、發燒、咳嗽，以及/或流鼻涕的現象，請讓您的孩子在家休息並且多喝水。在他們退燒後（不服藥的狀況下）以及身體不再疼痛後，再來上學。

To keep your children healthy, remind them to get lots of sleep, eat healthy foods, exercise and wash hands well and often.
為了保持您孩子的健康，請提醒他們保持充足的睡眠、吃健康的食物、多運動以及勤洗手。

University Reps are Coming to MAK!!!
大學代表參訪MAK

We will have representatives from the following universities visit MAK in the next few weeks. High school students are encouraged to meet with them for more information or to ask any questions.
