REMINDER – Tuition bill for Fall 2020-21 Semester

Our tuition bill for Fall 2020-21 semester was sent out on April 22nd, 2020 and payment is due by May 15th, 2020. In addition to the paper copy of the Fall 2020-21 semester tuition statement mailed to you, a PDF version of the same bill was sent to your email address. To pay by Taiwan credit card, you may go directly to the following website: www.27608818.com

Please email our cashier, Connie Chang at changco@ma.org.tw if you would like to make any changes to the bill. Kindly note that a late fee and/or interest will be imposed if payment are received after our due date of May 15th, 2020.

Middle School will perform on Thursday, May 14th, 3:30pm-4:15pm.
Parents and siblings of Middle School students are welcome to attend but must first make a request for an admission ticket. The link to request admission tickets was sent out by MAK team leader, Mr Albert Tam to all parents of Middle School students in his email on Tuesday, April 21. If you did not receive this link and wish to request a ticket, please email mak@ma.org.tw
Please stop at the front office for temperature checks.
Concert Dress Code: Please wear formal concert attire in Black or White.
Students should avoid wearing jeans, t-shirts, hoodies, or sneakers.

The last day of the ASA program as well as Middle School Sports will end on Thursday, May 21st. The last day of High School sports will end on Friday, May 22nd. We will not have any after school programs or activities during the last week of school. 

From Monday, May 25 to Thursday, May 28, school will be dismissed at 3:15pm. On Friday, May 29, when school will be dismissed at 11:30am. Please remember to pick up your children after school if they will not be riding the school bus home.

小學部課後活動以及中學部運動計畫的最後一天為五月21日(四)。五月22日(五)則為高中部運動計畫的最後一天。在學期的最後一週，我們將不會有任何的課後活動或運動活動。

自五月25日(一)至五月28日(四)，將在下午3:15放學。而五月29日(五)，我們會在早上11:30放學。若您的孩子不搭乘校車回家，請記得來接您的小孩回家。

High School Final Exams 高中期末考

High School final exams are coming up May 25-29! Please click on the following links to view the grade specific exam schedule: Grade 9 Schedule, Grade 10 Schedule, Grade 11 Schedule. Thank you for encouraging your children to prepare well for these exams 🙂

Since Monday, May 25 is designated as a study day, we will have study groups, study halls, and teachers available for study helps at MAK to help students prepare for their finals.  Alternatively, students could also choose to study at home and use online tools to connect with teachers during that day.  As parents, you can decide where your child will study on May 25.  

Here are the instructions we gave to High School students:

1) If you are on campus, you must be in the designated study hall location. 

2) You are not required to be at school except for exams, so if your parents want to bring you late/pick you up early, that is fine. (But you cannot leave in the middle of the day and return.)  

3) You may NOT leave campus without your parents picking you up unless you are taking the normal bus.

4) Snacks will be provided on Tues, Wed, and Thurs from your parents/PAC.  Enjoy the brain boost!

由於五月25日(一)這一天為自修日，我們有安排讀書小組、個人自修時間，以及老師們會在校內協助學生們準備期末考。同時，學生也可以自行決定當天是否要到校，或是在家自修及使用線上通訊軟體與老師們聯繫。身為家長，您也可以決定您的孩子在當天是否到校或在家自修。

以下是我們給高中生的規範：

1. 如果你選擇到校，你必須在指定的地點自修。
2. 除了考試時間以外，你不一定要到校。所以，如果你的父母可以配合你的時間接送，晚送早回都可以。（但是請勿到校後離開又返回，重覆進出校園。）
3. 若父母無法接送，請搭乘校車，並配合校車時間進出校園，不得擅自離校。
4. 家長/家長會在週二，週三和週四會提供點心。請享用！

HS Concert and Awards Ceremony  ~ 高中音樂會及頒獎典禮

Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, we have canceled the HS Concert and Awards Ceremony.  We have rescheduled both of those events. The HS Concert will be on Monday, May 18 at 3:30pm. Parents are welcome to attend. Please stop at the front office to have your temperature checked when arriving.
The HS Awards Ceremony will be on Friday, May 29 at 8:15 am. This event is by invitation only.

由於新冠肺炎疫情的爆發，我們取消了原訂的高中音樂會以及頒獎典禮。然後，我們重新調整計畫這兩項活動。高中音樂會將在五月18日(一)下午3:30舉辦，歡迎家長前來觀賞。入場前請至辦公室測量體溫。
高中的頒獎典禮將會在五月29日(五)早上8:15舉辦，此典禮僅限於受邀者觀禮。

THANK YOU to those who have supported the Annual Fund this year!  We are hoping to have a few more partners join us in the project by making donations.  

Here are some details about the project.

• Morrison has set aside a budget of 3 million NT to start this project.  This will cover replacing the 20 year old sport court with a gymnasium quality wood floor.
• We would like to raise 800,000NT to properly finish the project.  These funds will be used for the following.
  • Moveable basketball backboards to allow for better volleyball use
  • Curtain divider to allow for multiple activities at once
  • Wall cushions 
  • Painting of court lines
  • New bleachers
• Donations of 25,000NT or more will be acknowledged on a plaque in the gym.
• Donations will be accepted until the end of the school year.

以下是有關此計畫的細節：

• 我們撥出新台幣300萬元的預算來啟動整修體育館的計畫。將把20年之久的老舊地板全面翻新，整修後將會是專業體育館規格的高品質木頭地板。
• 我們預計籌募新台幣800,000元以完成下列項目：
  • 可移動的籃球框架，好讓排球練習有更多的空間可運用
  • 隔間拉門，讓不同的球類活動可在體育館內同時進行
  • 牆墊
  • 球場線
  • 觀眾席
• 捐款台幣25,000元以上的捐款者會得到體育館感謝牌上署名致謝。
• 我們將接受捐款直到學年結束為止。

您可以將款項交給我們的出納，或者是由此來線上捐款。
