Dear Parents and Guardians, 

ASA and middle school sports will end on Thursday, May 12, 2022. Beginning May 17th, the school buses will leave at 3:25 pm, except for Thursday, May 19th, as the school will have its Middle School Spring Concert. Therefore, the school busses will leave at 4:25 pm. An after-school program will be available for elementary bus students ONLY for this day.

After the Middle School and High School Spring Concert, the school busses will revert to leaving at 3:25 pm, Monday through Friday.   Please plan and adjust your schedule accordingly.

Covid-19 Student Vaccination

***In order for your child to receive the Moderna Covid-19 vaccine at MAK, one parent or guardian must be present at school.  The purpose of this requirement is to ensure that elementary students feel safe and secure when receiving the vaccine.  By having one parent or guardian present, the goal is to reduce any fears and make the child feel comfortable.  Please use the next two weeks to make the necessary adjustments to your working schedule.  Thank you for your cooperation.  After the child has received the vaccine, parents or guardians are to sign out their child and go home.***   

When parents or guardians arrive at MAK, please social distance by staying with your child only and adhering to all Covid-19 government regulations:

1. Wear a mask at all times and sanitize your hands
2. Conduct a temperature check
3. Complete a health declaration form

MAK has secured Friday, May 13th, 2022 as the vaccination distribution date on which medical staff from the CECC will come to campus and administer jabs to the respective students.  The jabs will be administered from 1:30 pm through 3:15 pm in the MPR.  

On the day (5/13/2022 ) of the vaccination, students must bring their health insurance card, ARC.

After vaccination, please stay at MPR for at least 15 minutes. If you feel uncomfortable afterward, please tell the doctor and nurses in the vaccination area.

Precautions before vaccination：

1. Do not stay up late the day before.
2. Students should not fast prior to vaccination.
3. Encourage students to eat a balanced diet and drink plenty of water to avoid post-vaccination dizziness caused by fasting and dehydration.
4. Wear loose-fitting, short-sleeved clothing.
5. Make sure students do not feel uncomfortable before vaccination.
6. In case of discomfort, it is recommended to wait until the condition has stabilized before vaccination.

***為了讓莫德那疫苗接種事宜順利進行，一位家長或監護人必須到校陪伴。當家長抵達校園時，請遵守所有防疫規定。此要求的目的在於確保學童在接種疫苗時可以覺得安全以及安心。讓一位家長來陪同，主要是為了減少任何因接種疫苗可能產生的恐懼及害怕，並且讓學童能夠有安全感。請利用接下來的兩週思考並且在您的工作行程上做安排以及調度。感謝您的配合。當小孩完成疫苗接種，家長將小孩帶回家休息。 ***  

當家長們抵達校園時，請保持社交安全距離，只和自己的小孩互動，並遵循以下政府防疫規範：

1. 全程配戴口罩並進行手部消毒
2. 測量體溫
3. 填寫健康聲明書

年滿6到11歲的學童皆符合此次的疫苗接種資格。

學校已經跟衛生所預約，訂於2022年5月13日(星期五)，下午1:30至3:15在學校MPR進行疫苗施打。在當日，將會有醫護人員至校園替符合資格的學生施打疫苗。

疫苗接種當天(5/13/2022)，學生必須攜帶健保卡、ARC。

接種疫苗後，請在MPR至少停留15分鐘。如果事後覺得不舒服，請告訴接種站的醫生和護士。

疫苗接種前應注意的提示：

1. 前一天不要熬夜。  
2. 學生在接種疫苗前不要禁食。
3. 鼓勵學生均衡飲食，多喝水，以避免接種後因空腹和脱水引起的頭暈。
4. 穿着寬鬆的短袖。
5. 確保學生在接種疫苗前没有不適感。
6. 如有不適，建議等到病情穩定後再接種。

Fall 2022-23 Semester Tuition Statement

Dear Parents,

A paper copy of the Fall 2022-23 semester tuition statement was mailed to you on April 25th. If you selected the paperless option in your registration form in PowerSchool, you will not receive a bill in the mail beginning this Fall 2022-23 tuition bill. In addition to this, a PDF version of the same bill was sent to your email. Please complete the payment by May 13th, 2022.

Dear Middle School and High School Parents and Guardians,

Students are excitedly preparing for the spring concert coming up on Thursday, May 19.  The concert performance time will be from 3:20 pm to 4:20 pm in MPR.  School buses will be departing at 4:30 pm. Please mark your calendar for this special event!

Here are a few announcements:

1. Please prepare formal concert clothing to change into just before the concert begins. Please wear formal concert attire in Black or White. Students should avoid wearing jeans, t-shirts, hoodies, or sneakers. Message from HS AD

With the end of our Spring sports season, MAK Athletics will start May Sports until May 27th. This is an opportunity for  high school students for 2022-23 school year to get some workouts in with coaches looking to prepare for the off season and into next school year.The late bus WILL run as normal.
