From the HS Athletic Director:
Men’s JV volleyball team was able to sweep the KAS Dragons 3 – 0 this past Wednesday. The team gained some valuable experience and also had some good individual performances to help build their confidence. Onward and upwards for the Sharks!
The varsity men’s volleyball team lost a tough defeat to the KAS in 0-3 sets this past Wednesday. Although KAS offense was a little stronger than our defense, the boys still had some amazing saves, aces, spikes, and digs. They are ready for the next big challenge.
Lady Sharks Soccer earned a win against the KAS Dragons this past Thursday under favorably cloudy cool conditions. Despite a small bench, the Sharks overcame an early setback going down a goal in the first 10 minutes to earn a 4-3 victory. Goals scored by Grace Im (Sr.), Riley Newkirk (Soph) , McKenna Muir (Sr) and Amy Tai (Soph) were highlighted by energetic performances in midfield by Chloe Lai (Sr) and Ashley Lai (Soph) with security in defense provided by freshmen Nichole Rodriguez and Audrey Wang. While there is room to improve going forward, this was a fantastic way to start off the season.
