Dear Parents, the 2021-2022 Registration Bills have been sent out on March 4 via postal mail and electronically to your email. Registration fee is due before March 26th, students will receive a 5000NT discount on their 2021-2022 Fall tuition bill if the registration fee is paid on time.

親愛的家長們， 2021-2022學年度的註冊單已於三月4日以平信及電郵寄出。註冊費繳交截止日為三月26日(五)，若在繳費截止日前完成繳納程序者，將給予2021-2022秋季學費減免新台幣5000元的優惠。

Please also remember to log into your PowerSchool parent account to update each of your child’s Registration Form, or fill out the Withdrawal Form if your child will not be returning next school year.

The Association of Christian Schools (ACSI) and Western Association of Colleges (WASC) visiting team have recommended a six year renewal of Morrison Academy’s accreditation.

Every six years, Morrison Academy undergoes an extensive internal review and an external audit by two accrediting bodies, ACSI and WASC, which are each composed of highly educated professionals. This in-depth process is initiated voluntarily at Morrison’s request with the aim to establish how well or poorly Morrison is fulfilling its education aims. Its vision, purpose, curricula, and policies, as well as their impact on actual student learning, were the object of thorough investigation.

Throughout the process, nearly 200 interviews were conducted to assess Morrison’s impact and real-life execution of its vision and mission. In addition to interviews with parents, teachers, staff, and even students, ACSI and WASC also did numerous virtual classroom observations.

ACSI and WASC were impressed with much of what they witnessed at Morrison during their lengthy audit, including the high engagement from students on all campuses and its commitment to child protection and to fulfilling its vision. Additionally, the accrediting bodies gave thoughtful recommendations on ways where Morrison might better meet the needs of its students.

Accreditation renewal is no small accomplishment. Morrison Academy is proud of all the hard-working staff, caring parents, and diligent students who continue to make Morrison Academy a dynamic school for a high-quality, biblically integrated education.

國際基督教學校協會(ACSI)和西方大學協會(WASC)的訪察團隊在上週的審核後已經給予馬禮遜美國學校為期六年的認證更新。

每六年，馬禮遜美國學校都會經過內部(國際基督教學校協會)和外部(西方大學協會)多位專家的審核來得到資格認證。為了能知道自己是不是一個好學校，馬禮遜美國學校主動提出這個相當有深度的資格認證審核。學校的遠景、目的、課程和政策，以及對學生學習實際的影響，都是審核的主要內容。

在這個過程當中，為了得知馬禮遜美國學校的影響力，以及在現實生活中學校願景和使命的執行力，這些專家做了將近200場的面談。他們另外還與家長、教師、職員，甚至學生面談。除此之外，他們也透過網路在線上觀察審視了許多位老師課堂上的教學。

在漫長的審核過程當中，國際基督教學校協會和西方大學協會都對他們在馬禮遜所看到的一切印象深刻，這當中包括所有校區學生的高度參與，以及致力實現兒童保護和學校願景的承諾。此外，認證機構在深思熟慮過後，也針對馬禮遜可以更進一步滿足學生需求的方式提出了建言。

認證更新是不小的成就。馬禮遜美國學校為著所有努力工作的教職員、有愛心的家長和勤奮的學生感到驕傲，他們將繼續使馬禮遜成為一所充滿活力且提供結合聖經教導原則優質教育的學校。

Parent-Teacher Conferences

Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held Friday, March 26, 2021 and the sign-up forms will be made available starting Friday, March 19, 2021 at 9:00am. A separate email will be sent to all MAK parents with the link at that time. Please also note that sign-ups will be CLOSED at 8:00am on Thursday, March 25 in order to allow teachers to prepare for the conferences. NO signups will be available after 8:00am on Thursday, March 25.

Grades 6-12 students are invited to accompany you to Parent-Teacher Conferences. We will provide some child supervision during conferences.  Your children should either be with you or in the designated supervision areas. Please be ready to pay a small donation for this service.  All proceeds will go toward next year’s 11th-grade service trip.

親師座談會

「親師座談會」將於2021年三月26日(五)舉行。面談時間登記表將從三月19日(五)早上九點，開放登記。登記表的連結以及時間將會另行電郵給您。也請您留意一下，登記表將會在三月25日(四)早上八點關閉連結、停止登記，以利老師們為座談會做準備。請注意！三月25日(四)早上八點過後將無法再登記！

我們邀請六到12年級生與您一同出席本次座談會。在此次座談會中，學校有提供孩童照顧服務。與會期間，請您將孩子帶在身邊或是待在我們提供照顧服務的指定地點。若使用此服務，請準備小額捐款，所有的收入將成為明年的11年級生服務之旅基金。

Our ES Spring Concert is from 3:30-4:15pm, on Tuesday, March 30th (for Grade K & 1 & 2) and on Thursday, April 1st (Grade 3 & 4 & 5). Please remember to pack concert clothing for your children to change into just before the concert begins.  

The colors for this year’s spring concert will be spring colors: BLUE, GREEN, PINK, and WHITE. Students should keep the following guidelines in mind when picking their spring concert attire:

• • • • • • • Wear spring colored tops (no T-shirts)
            • Wear long pants, knee-length skirts or dresses
            • Wear closed-toes shoes
            • No jeans or sneakers

 

我們這學期的大班到二年級的春季音樂會將於三月30日(二)，下午3:30-4:15舉行。三年級到五年級的音樂會則在將在4月1日(四)同時段舉辦。請記得要幫您的孩子另外準備音樂會要穿的服裝，讓您的小孩可以在音樂會之前換上。

今年音樂會服裝的顏色將以春天的顏色為主，像藍色、綠色、粉色，和白色。在選衣服的時候，請遵守以下幾點：

• 穿著春天顏色的上衣（勿穿T恤）
• 穿著長褲或者長度超過膝蓋的裙子或連身洋裝
• 勿穿露腳趾的鞋子
• 勿穿牛仔褲及運動鞋

Dear MAK parents and students,

The Talent Show is this Saturday!

Although the ticket sale is over, we will still be selling the ticket on the day of! The price will be 400NT and each ticket will include coupons for everyone to exchange for light snacks and drinks throughout the night. 

We will be following a series of precautions for Covid-19. If you would like to understand how we will be applying these precautions, feel free to check this document out. 

If you already bought the tickets or are willing to purchase, you must fill in this form. This is required for every participating family.

Everyone attending the Talent Show is required to wear masks. As a precaution, we will be checking temperatures and spraying your hands with alcohol at the front door.
