Half Day for Teachers’ PL – Friday, September 4, 2020
This is a reminder that Friday, September 4th will be a Half Day for Teachers’ PL Day. School will be dismissed at 11:30AM and the school buses will leave at 11:45AM. This is a system wide Professional Learning day for all teachers to meet, receive training, and learn from each other.
教師專業教育訓練日 – 九月4日(五)半天
提醒您，九月4日(五)，學生只上半天課，下午則是老師們的專業教育訓練。我們當天會在11:30放學，校車則在11:45準時發車。教師專業教育訓練日是為了讓老師們受訓、互相觀摩及學習。

Planned Absences/計畫性請假

Requests to be absent are to be made to the school principal in writing or by telephone one week before the absence occurs. This procedure gives an opportunity to discuss the possible effects of the absence and alternative study arrangements. If requests for planned absences are not given to the school principal ahead of time, the absence will be considered unexcused.  This, of course, does not include illnesses or emergencies but does include church mission trips, family trips, non-school sports activities, and any other planned absence.   

如果是有計劃性的請假，必須在一週前電郵或是打電話通知校長。這個程序讓我們有機會去討論請假的影響，以及安排一些學習上的替代方案。如果沒有事先向校長提出請假需求，這些缺席將被視為無故缺席。當然，這不包括病假或是緊急情況，但包括教會宣教行程、家庭旅行、非學校的體育活動，以及任何其他計劃性的請假。

Dear MAK Parents,

We’d like to invite our High School parents to our Meet the Teacher event next Thursday, September 3 from 3:00 to 5:00pm in the MPR. This will give you the chance to meet your child(ren)’s teachers, connect with other parents, and stay on top of all the exciting things we’ve been doing at MAK! We hope to see you there.
*Refreshments and light snacks will be provided.
