Dear MAK Parents and Guardians,

Thank you for your generous and thoughtful donation to the 2022-23 Annual Fund.  We truly appreciate your partnership, commitment, and generosity to Morrison Academy Kaohsiung. With your help, we renovated the Covered Play Area by building a new storage area and installing a new athletic surface.  Also, a bouldering (rock climbing) wall that allows students to climb side to side was built.  Finally, new and integrated audio-visual equipment was installed to enhance the space for elementary, middle school, and high school chapels.  Again, thank you so much for your prayers, donations, and support!  Proverbs 27:17 says, “As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend.”  As we partner and work together, we are indeed making MAK a better place for our students, staff, and community.

Thank you for MAKing a difference!  We couldn’t have done it without you.

With a grateful heart,

Dr. Kim

MAK DADS!

Mothers at Morrison Academy have many wonderful opportunities to get together throughout the school year. This past year, I was longing for the same for the fathers even with the understanding that many of the fathers are busy with work. I wanted to try to create a space for fathers to connect, to talk about their children, and pray for the Morrison community. Dads in Prayer provides opportunities, support, and resources for fathers to develop a heart of prayer for their children and families. It helps those fathers want to pray for their children but may not have much time or may not know how to. If you are a father with a heart for your children and would like to be part of Dads in Prayer at Morrison Academy, there will be a soft rollout of this new group NEXT Thursday, August 31st from 845am-10am in the HS Meeting Room. If you are interested, please email Simon Hsu at makdip2023@gmail.com with your name so that you can be included on our Dads in Prayer LINE group. Please come join us!

Tentative dates: 8/31, 9/21, 10/26, 11/30, 12/14

Dear Parents, We are so excited for another year of school and all the learning, growth, and fun that will take place in ES Chapel this year! This year, our ES Chapel theme is “Who is God?”. Each week, we’ll be looking at a different attribute, characteristic, or name of God and learning about who He is as revealed in the Bible. We’d love for you to join us as we sing, learn, and grow together in Chapel!

As usual, ES Chapel will be every Friday from 8:00am-8:40am, and is now in the newly renovated CPA! If you are interested in joining us, please do the following when you come to the school:

1) Park along Jiacheng road

2) Sign in at the office as a guest/visitor

3) Walk over to the Covered Play Area (CPA) and take a seat on the chairs at the back of the room

Hope to see you there! 🙂
